Welcome new Creative Director Oliver

With over 20 years of experience in arts, design and branding, we are very happy to welcome Creative Director Oliver Helfrich to Bold! With his work for international brands such as Google, Apple, PwC and Mercedes Benz, resulting in numerous prestigious design awards, Oliver’s expertise is a great addition for Bold towards an international direction. Oliver started as a sculptor and later moved on to branding in The Netherlands and the UK. Throughout his career, he had the opportunity to work at great creative agencies such as HG Merz, Studio Dumbar and Wolff Olins.

“What I like about Bold is how they combine the clarity of Scandinavian design with a sense of lightness and playfulness. A great branding agency, with a lot of potential to grow beyond the Nordic market, and I’d love to be part of this journey. I’ve worked for agencies in different parts of the world, mostly with international clients. I think my experience can help Bold take on a bigger and more strategic perspective on design and branding. Making sure everyone feels part of this process will be crucial – strategy, design and project management. I would say I split my time between client work, the future of Bold and the design culture of Bold.”

“I’m excited about the future of our industry –  technology will definitely shape how we see brands  – but technology in itself is not the answer. Everything starts with a good idea. Without an idea to make you think, smile – feel the brand, tech is reduced to nothing more than a gimmick. I believe that the power of great ideas and good stories will always be at the heart of what we do.”
