HEST Agentur is an agency consisting of the best photographers in Norway. As part of the project, we developed a new brand concept and identity — along with the promotional website, showcasing the work of the photographers.
The name HEST means “Horse” in Norwegian, which is one of the key drivers for the identity and website concept. The name was inspired by the worlds first series of moving images known as “The Horse in Motion” by Eadweard Muybridge.
We maintained a direct link to the concept through a series of image streams that are carefully curated by each photographer. This gave the photographers the possibility to express their uniqueness, without any conceptual limitations.
The primary target groups are advertising- and design agencies, as well as media publishers. Throughout the website we strive to facilitate a focused browsing experience, that elegantly presents the work of the agency. Every photographer has their own personal page with a unique mark, and each series of photos comes with a predetermined, fully customizable color palette, that accentuates the style of the photography.
Keeping the design of the website as minimal as possible, using a monochrome color palette and lots of whitespace — enables a focused browsing experience. Simple animated details to the navigational elements adds character and clarity.
HEST’s new brand coincides with the launch of a new website, built to reflect their activity in editorial- and branded communications.
